Finance Team: As a team member of the Finance Team, the hotel accountant is responsible to ensure the structure and processes meet the Executive Team objectives and the process teams meet their goals and performance standards

Hotel/Food and Beverage Accounting & Reporting Team:

  • Responsible for the team’s KRAs for the assigned hotels
  • Ensure the team meets their goals and performance standards

  • Dashboard Reporting and Analysis

Process: Finance Team
KRA’s: Financial Reporting / Expense Control, Asset Protection, Free Cash Flow, Employee Development

Responsibilities
1. As a team member of the Finance Team, the hotel accountant will be responsible to ensure the structure and processes meet the Executive Team objectives and the process teams meet their goals and performance standards
2. Assists in overseeing the accuracy and efficiency of accounting process, ensuring the accounting function properly manages transactions and financial reporting for all processes
3. Supports teamwork, innovation and continuous learning amongst your accounting peers
4. Maintaining effective communication and coordination with co-workers and accounting personnel ensuring optimal performance

Process: Hotel/Food and Beverage Accounting & Reporting Team
KRA’s: Financial Reporting / Expense Control, Asset Protection, Free Cash Flow
Responsibilities

1. Effective preparation, maintenance and reporting of all assigned hotel property’s financial activities and analysis
  a. Reviews and Posts Daily Trial Balances
  b. Reviews and Posts Accounts Payable
  c. Processes Purchases Orders
  d. Reconciles Daily & Monthly Banking Activity
  e. Monthly Account Receivable Reconciliations
  f. Processes Weekly Payroll Journal Entries
  g. Maintain the hotel property’s service contracts
  h. Processes Month End Recurring & Adjusting Journal Entries
  i. Produces and Files Sales & Use Tax Returns
  j. Production and Analysis of the monthly financial package

2. Accountable to assist in the preparation and quality assurance on all budgets for the assigned hotels
  a. Preparation of the budget workbook
  b. Participation in the hotel property’s budget meetings

3. Accountable to assist in the preparation and quality assurance of the annual audit for the assigned hotels
  a. Preparation of the audit packages
  b. Participation in the hotel property’s audit status meetings
