Fred B. Roedel – Senior Advisor
Fred B. Roedel founded a limited service, independent hotel chain in 1968 and expanded it into one of the largest, privately owned hotel chains in the northeast United States. Chalet Susse International owned, operated, developed, and franchised Susse Chalet and Grand Chalet hotels. The chain of 36 hotels was sold to Olympus, a real estate arm of Hicks Muse in 2000.
Following the sale, Mr. Roedel founded Roedel Partners and along with key personal from Chalet Susse, executed a plan to not only own a portfolio of select service hotels but also provide development, construction, renovation, and operating services to third party hotel owners and investors. Today, in addition to owning hotels, Roedel Companies provides an entire suite of essential hotel services through its subsidiary organizations RGH Hospitality and ROK Builders.
Throughout his career Mr. Roedel has been involved with numerous business and community organizations including serving on the Board of Directors of Public Service of New Hampshire, Chairman of the Board of First Federal Bank of Nashua (NH) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daniel Webster College. Mr. Roedel received the Pinnacle Award from Farleigh Dickinson University, the highest award given to alumni for their accomplishments in their field of endeavor. In addition, he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Saint Anselm College and the Humanitarian Award from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation in 2005.
Mr. Roedel is a member of the Roedel Companies Management Team and serves as an advisor in developing and implementing the strategic and annual business plans. Mr. Roedel received his Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and his Bachelor of Science degree from Farleigh Dickinson University.
