F & B Supervisor

Scope:
The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of service delivery on the assigned shift within the Food and Beverage department. This includes the following criteria: set up, breakdown and service techniques, completion of shift checklists, delivering focused and quality guest service. The F & B Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of supervision during the duration of the assigned shift.

Reports to: Executive Chef

Direct Reports:
Restaurant Bartenders, Servers, Hostesses, Bussers or any other front of house position.

Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each task and duty of subordinates
Capable of working in a fast paced work environment and perform under stressful situations
Ability to work with and develop employees and co-workers through team process
Availability to work varied shifts, according to the needs of the hotel. This includes: weekends, evenings and
holidays

Education/Experience:
2-4 years in hospitality or business management
Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
Prior bartending experience is preferred

Language Skills:
Ability to effectively deliver all required information to superiors, coworkers and subordinates

Computer Skills:
Typing skills
Windows XP or newer, Work, Excel and Outlook
Thorough working knowledge of POS system

Certificates and Licenses:
Serv Safe Certified or ability to obtain certification
TIPS or Alcohol Awareness Training Certified or ability to obtain certification

Physical Demands:
The employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift or move 25 pounds.
