Jamie Costa to Lead Ampersand Salon and Spa

WILTON, NH – Hotel Saranac, Curio Collection by Hilton welcomes Jamie Costa as Spa Director of Ampersand Salon and Spa, the full service salon, spa and fitness center where guests can find peaceful rejuvenation from a day’s exploration of the Adirondacks.

The reborn Hotel Saranac will serve as a basecamp for adventurous travelers and a social hub for the village of Saranac Lake, N.Y. Ampersand Salon and Spa is one of the new signature offerings of the historic hotel.

Costa, a native of nearby Lake Placid, N.Y., brings a deep knowledge of the region. She was most recently Spa Director at The Spa at Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid and also served as Spa Supervisor for more than a decade at the Mirror Lake Inn Resort and Spa in Lake Placid.

“We are excited to have someone with Jamie’s experience and understanding of what people expect from a resort spa,” says Michael Salyers, General Manager of Hotel Saranac. “But Jamie will also be helping to bring Ampersand’s unique concept to life.”

Ampersand takes its name from the nearby mountain popular with hikers, and its décor reflects the spirit of exploring the Adirondacks. The signature scents and treatments will include indigenous ingredients to give a true outdoor flavor of the region.

“The concept is so perfect for the Adirondacks,” Costa says. “We want to showcase the uniqueness of the region to our guests as we pamper them.”

Ampersand Salon and Spa will pamper guests staying at the Hotel Saranac as well as residents of the village. Whether it is getting a pedicure/manicure, a full body massage or a haircut in the barber’s chair, Ampersand’s amenities are just right for everything from a special occasion to the daily lifestyles of people in the region.
