Iconic Hotel Saranac Reopens

By Nicole Quaste

Reviving the luxury of an Adirondacks legend, the iconic Hotel Saranac reopens its doors to guests.

A multimillion-dollar restoration infused modern indulgences into the property’s historic halls, including refinement of its grand ballroom, public spaces and landmark exterior.

Indigenous materials like pine, birch and maple find their way in to not only the hotel’s furniture and design but also in treatments at Ampersand Salon and Spa, and the hotel’s rustic-chic restaurant, Campfire Adirondack Grill & Bar.

The dining venue showcases the region’s natural bounty, including local game, fish, produce and maple syrup, along with local craft beers.

Academy & Main, the hotel’s retail arcade, offers 20 distinct mini boutiques selling everything from locally sourced artisan goods to house-made treats.

Originally opened in 1927, the hotel always embodied elegance. Visitors along the East Coast flocked to the hotel, drawn by its grand design, scenery and historic surroundings. The newly restored gem, now part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, maintains this reputation.
