Laundry Attendant at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Tilton, NH

TILTON, NH, February 13, 2009 - Loretta Nedeau, who is employed at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Tilton, NH as a laundry attendant is the proud recipient of the Spirit of Hampton award. It is awarded to exceptional employees who consistently bring home the gold by making a positive impact on guests, their department teammates, hotel and community.

There are over 1,600 Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn and Suites and each hotel can nominate someone for the Spirit of Hampton award. Hampton chooses winners via a nomination process. Nedeau was nominated by Jennifer Masten. Masten handles General Manager responsibilities at The Hampton Inn and Suites Tilton on behalf of Hospitality Solutions, a hotel management company specializing in limited, mid-service, upscale and extended-stay hotels in the Eastern United States. .

"Loretta sets a great example for others to follow," says Masten. "Her spirit of pride in her work makes her an invaluable asset to the Hampton Inn and Suites Tilton team."

Among Loretta's accomplishments are:
* saving the hotel significant sums of money by cleaning linens so well that they do not need to be regularly replaced. She takes such extraordinary care in washing and drying the duvet covers, bed skirts and curtains that they always look brand new.
* providing superior guest service. Loretta has taken the time to learn how to do basic maintenance so that she can fix a guest's television or toilet after hours without a guest having to wait for maintenance to be called in and arrive.
* helping NASCAR. While NASCAR was in town, one of the drivers had a television interview and a problem. He needed a shirt altered prior to his interview. No tailor in the hotel's area could alter the shirt on such short notice. Loretta, who loves to sew, had our guest's shirt altered, pressed and ready for him to wear in time for his interview.

In his congratulatory letter to Nedeau, Phil Cordell, Senior Vice President of Brand Management of Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn and Suites wrote, "Loretta, as a winner of the Spirit of Hampton award, you have achieved what hundreds of thousands of people will never do in a lifetime. You have distinguished yourself as being among the best."

Nedeau resides in Tilton, NH. She received the following as part of her Spirit of Hampton prize package:
* $350 in prize money
* A plaque recognizing her achievement
* Hampton brand-wide recognition of her win via a Spirit of Hampton communication
* A congratulatory lapel pin
