Makeover includes new moniker for hotel
Following months of renovations, the old Fairfield Inn has been transformed into a modern and spacious hotel under new ownership as the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. The Holiday Inn, at 4 Amherst Road off Exit 11 of the F.E. Everett Turnpike, opened its doors on Monday after a multimillion- dollar makeover. “This was such a great opportunity to take an attractive building that was constructed in 1981 and reinvent it into something totally new. We are actually bringing something back to life, which is very exciting for us,” said David Roedel of Roedel Companies, a New Hampshire-based hotel operator. The newly refurbished hotel has 100 guest rooms ranging from $119 to $139 per night. King and double queen suites are available, along with a complimentary breakfast, free wireless high-speed Internet access, fitness center and outdoor swimming pool.
