WILTON – New Hampshire based hotel owner/operators, Roedel Companies, has named Penny Cooney, a Guest Services Representative at the Holiday Inn Express in Auburn, Mass., as their Values in Action Award recipient. The accolade is presented biannually to an employee that demonstrates superior excellence in exemplifying the core values of Roedel Companies. Cooney was presented with a $1,000 prize at the Roedel Companies’ annual meeting on Nov. 19 at the Courtyard Marriott in Nashua.
Honorable mentions went to two finalists who were also congratulated at the meeting and given a $1,000 prize - Project Supervisor Bob Paquet of ROK Builders and Alyssa Bergeron, also a Guest Services Representative at the Holiday Inn Express in Auburn.
Roedel Companies also honored an external partner that embodies the core values of the organization. Kelly Shanahan of Flegal Law Firm in Nashua has been a partner of Roedel Companies for a year. When Roedel Companies was buying the Courtyard Marriott in Nashua, Shanahan wrote a personal check to cover an unexpected fee which enabled the process to continue. She was presented with the award because of “her willingness to do whatever it took to get the job done,” said Shelley.
