The organization is partnering with Aunt Sadie’s, Inc. to develop products that celebrate the region and hotel

Wilton, NH – Roedel Companies has partnered with Aunt Sadie’s, Inc. to create a new Hotel Saranac Gift Shop that will serve the community, hotel guests and visitors traveling throughout the region. The store, located on the corner of Main Street and Academy Street, will occupy the same space as the original hotel gift shop. Aunt Sadie’s is developing a range of products including apparel, home décor and paper products that will be inspired by the traditions and activities of the Adirondacks and Hotel Saranac. The gift shop will also offer one-of-a-kind gifts for special events and celebrations.

Aunt Sadie’s was cofounded in 1997 by Brian Schnetzer and Gary Briggs. Based in Lunenburg, VT, the home-grown business was formed with Brian’s paternal grandmother in mind who loved to shop, bake and cook. The company’s premium scented candles are sold online at www.auntsadiesonline.com and at retailers across the country. Aunt Sadie’s, Inc recently closed their store in Boston’s South End but continue to maintain a showroom in Atlanta, GA.

Co-owner Brian Schnetzer explained that the new Hotel Saranac Gift Shop will be similar to an emporium where customers can gather and shop in a unique and memorable setting. “There is a real authenticity to Saranac Lake and the Hotel Saranac and the new gift shop will reflect that,” stated Schnetzer. “We want to build a nostalgic shopping experience for the modern times. When guests walk through the doors they may be welcomed by the soothing smells of our candles and hear music from Rosemary Clooney, but they’ll find a wide variety of contemporary gifts on our shelves.”
Javier Cortés, Partner and Creative Director of Korn Design, is working closely with Roedel Companies to establish and implement a universal brand experience for the Hotel Saranac. He explained that the gift shop will complement the new hotel but also be a destination upon itself. “Our intent is for the gift shop to become a place where hotel guests and residents return to again and again to find that perfect gift for loved ones,” said Cortés. “With their extensive experience and enthusiasm for this project, we are confident that Brian and Gary will help us develop a store that Saranac Lake can truly be proud of.”
