Roedel Companies Purchase Fairfield Inn
The property will reopen as Holiday Inn Express after a multi-million dollar infusion

MERRIMACK, NH – The town of Merrimack has a lot to talk about these days. In November, the Manchester Boston Regional Airport access road will open nearby, acting as a catalyst for business and tax base development. The Merrimack Premium Outlets are slated to open in the summer of 2012, attracting millions of shoppers and a significant influx of revenue.

The Roedel Companies have announced the latest in this string of positive developments. The Fairfield Inn will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation and reopen as a Holiday Inn Express in the fall. The property, located at exit 11 off the Everett Turnpike, was purchased on Monday by the New Hampshire based hotel owner/operators. The Fairfield Inn will close immediately so the project may commence.

Paul Micali, Interim Town Manager of Merrimack, says that the wave of capital infusion continues to develop Continental Boulevard and local businesses. “The developments of the Fairfield Inn and Shaw’s Plaza at exit 11 are just a few examples of projects that are bringing vital services to businesses on Continental Boulevard,” Micali stated. “Local companies will start thriving since consumers are continuing to find reasons to exit the highway and spend money in Merrimack.”

Renovations to the Fairfield Inn will begin after the scope of the project is complete and materials are delivered. The interior will be completely renovated and feature a spacious lobby, expanded business center and a brand new fitness facility. Approximately 110 hotel rooms will be stripped and updated with new décor and furniture. Roedel Companies will keep the building’s traditional New England exterior, but add a portico and new landscaping to revitalize its façade.

“With the recent developments in and around Merrimack, there is a greater need than ever for an upscale, business class hotel,” states David Roedel, Partner of Roedel Companies. ”As a New Hampshire based company, we are thrilled to invest in our own state.”

Roedel Companies owns and operates the Hilton Garden Inn Manchester and a select portfolio of nationally branded hotels throughout the Northeast, including other Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Hilton Garden Inns and Hampton Inn and Suites. In addition, the company builds and renovates hotels throughout the Eastern United States for its own account and third parties through ROK Builders, its construction management subsidiary.

Roedel Companies in partnership with Alta Properties recently purchased the Clarion Hotel in Manchester. The multifaceted property will reopen it as La Quinta Inn and Suites in the fall.
